Robert M. Dunn is President of Enterprise Solutions International LLC which trades as “ESI Advisors” (www.esiadvisors.com).
ESI Advisors provides advisory, consulting and transaction services in the US and Europe for corporate and business development. For more than 25 years, ESI has served the world of emerging companies and business units. Special interests have been in information technology, retail services, business services, online services, telecommunications, manufacturing technology, medical equipment, biosciences, e-commerce, infotainment services, and multimedia applications.
For more than 40 years, Mr. Dunn has been a technologist, entrepreneur, and advisor. He has developed technologies and products for government and his own companies. He has provided services for venture assessment, corporate development, business development, engineering, and product development for investors, global organizations, governmental departments, and for small and large companies.
He has helped form client companies, developed corporate equity transactions, developed strategic partnering agreements and provided strategic advice to strengthen client positions and performance in diverse markets and geographies.
Mr. Dunn also advises clients about business operations and about application and use of methods, processes, tools and technologies for enterprise operations and commercial activities.
Mr. Dunn lectures, speaks and teaches for professional development about venture operations and growth.
He is a Fellow at the Institue for the Economy and the Future, Western Catrolina University (www.ief.wcu.edu) and an Advisory Director to Strategic Insights (www.strategic-insights.com). Previously, he has been: Advisor, Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Council; Member, Board of Advisors, Blue Ridge Angel Investors Network; Member, Organizing Committees, Carolina Connect capital formation conference series; Advisor, NC Institute for Rural Entrepreneurship; Organizer and Chairman, AppliedVis 2005 Conference; Presenter/Moderator AppliedVis 2006; President, Board of Directors, Southern Appalachian Science and Technology Center (’02-’05); Chairman, US ANSI X3H3 Standards Committee on Computer Graphics (‘76-’80); Chairman, ACM SIGGraph (‘73-’75) & initiator of SIGGraph Conferences; a speaker at industry and technology conferences; and holder of 5 US patents and author of more than 50 published papers.
He has earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Rutgers University and M.S.E. in Computer Systems Engineering from Moore School of Engineering, University of Pennsylvania.
